Our History

Family Owned Business - Cafe AND Taqueria inside.

Opened in 1991 by David & Mary Sperber, Town’s End was part of the revitalization of the South Beach neighborhood. Being a part of the movement to feature organic produce, sustainable seafood, natural meats, and local farms has always been a top priority. We’ve valued our presence in the community as well as our presentation of hand crafted cuisine. Closed during the pandemic, Town’s End was sold to Jennifer & Nimer Massis, owners of the El Capitán Taquerias in San Francisco and San Bruno. Our location at 2 Townsend is now home to two casual eateries: Town’s End and El Capitán. We hope you enjoy exploring the historic South Beach neighborhood and sampling our diverse offerings.
